I spent most of yesterday at the local Honda dealer, getting my car serviced. I hate doing that for multiple reasons, partially because I know nothing about cars and hence have no idea whether what they say needs doing is legitimate, and partially because it's always such a long wait. I spent a full seven hours waiting there yesterday, and I didn't even get paid for it. In fact, I had to pay. I did manage to finish two books that I'd been reading, however, so that's something. After I was finally finished with that, I had to go to Walmart to retrieve a few items that I'd left behind. I know I brought my receipt with me, but it disappeared after my time at the dealer. I have to suspect someone working on it threw it out by accident, because I'm pretty sure I left it on the passenger seat. Fortunately, they were able to look up the purchase from my credit card, which I'm not sure we can do at the Walmart where I work. What's with all this inconsistency, Walmart?
In the evening, I went to a Monkees concert.
bethje was always planning to go, and I originally wasn't, but due to my own carelessness we ended up with an extra ticket. The setlist was mostly identical to when I saw them in September, but there were a few surprises, including the addition of "No Time." Okay, maybe that was the only surprise, but I can't remember for sure. Regardless, it was an enjoyable experience.
