Yesterday evening, after
bethje was done with school, she and I went out to eat at Charlie Brown's Steakhouse. She had been there before, but I never had. I thought it was good, albeit a little pricier than the places we usually eat. We had the calamari appetizer, which was pretty tasty, if a bit salty. This was the second time I had eaten calamari (the other time was at Red Lobster), and I think I've come to the conclusion that, while I don't like clams, squid is okay by me. I suppose some mollusks are more appetizing than others. Anyway, my entree was the garlic shrimp, which wasn't really all that garlicky. Still good, but I had a bite of Beth's parmesan chicken, and I liked that better. Maybe I'll have that if I ever go back again. Mine came with a piece of Texas toast, though. I like it when stuff comes with bread, which sounds kind of lame, since, hey, it's just bread. I prefer bread to potatoes, though. Of course, my entree came with both, and the fries were actually pretty good, but, if other restaurants gave a choice between potatoes and bread, I'm sure I'd generally choose the bread. That's just me, though, and I'm probably different from the majority of Americans.
I also bought another Christmas present last night, as well as some Christmas cards. If you want a card from me, let me know. They're nothing special, but hey, getting mail is cool, right?
