Okay, this quiz kind of sucked. What does whether or not you voted for Kerry have to do with anything? (Maybe they're logging ISPs of the people who did, to mark them as potential troublemakers. {g}) Since when is anarchy a religion? Catholics ARE Christians. And "atheist" and/or "agnostic" aren't even options. Nor is Muslim, for that matter.

Regarding last night's Simpsons episode, I thought it was all right, but probably the weakest of the "regular" episodes (i.e., everything except the Treehouse of Horror) so far this season. I liked the way it started out, with Bart's midlife crisis. His fantasy-turned-insurance-commercial and the Viking burial for his toys were clever touches. The magician/agent was good for a few amusing moments, especially in terms of Homer's reactions to him ("Wow, you broke and entered!" and the comment about being excited about a weird older man becoming interested in his son). The resolution also managed to tie in the subplot with Homer and Lisa, which was good. Only one part of the plot was actually resolved, though. Homer never got his job back (although that's pretty much to be expected by this point), and we never find out how Lisa fared at the science fair. Aside from that, though, I didn't really notice anything particularly wrong with this episode, which is good. It just wasn't AS good as the last three. (If I had to choose, I'd probably say the Nelson one was the best so far.)

I haven't been playing Mario and Luigi quite as much recently as I had been in the past. I'm currently trying to get through Joke's End. I have to say that I hate the parts where you have to get past those spiky rolling barrel-type things. I thought I was done with those after retrieving the pearls for the Jellyfish Sisters, but then they reappeared farther on in Gwarhar Lagoon, as well as at Joke's End.

Of course not! That would mean you HATE FREEDOM.

I still haven't seen any Simpsons since the Treehouse of Horror, somehow. You thought the previous ones this season were pretty good?

And cult members don't? {g}

I thought the four regular episodes so far this season have been pretty good, but I might not be quite as discriminating as some people. I think the show has been on an upswing in general in the past few seasons, though. The nadir was back around the tenth and eleventh seasons, I think.

This season's been pretty good so far. (I suppose part of this is that it's no longer the crapfest that it's been; though the last season was _decent_ if not really great.) I missed last week's, but yesterday's was pretty decent. Pretty much agree with you though, the Lisa subplot could have used some resolving -- it's almost like they ran out of time on the episode; the Homer-Helping-Bart thing seemed really... quick. Like, I dunno, in a way, I would have expeced that to be earlier, like, maybe beginning of third act, and Bart moping around for a while. Rather than "Hey, everything's great! No, wait, sucks! Great again!"
