Stuck in the middle with Cackletta
Nov. 29th, 2004 01:24 pmThe zipper on my book bag broke. I was able to zip it up the other way (it's one of those kinds with the two overlapping zippers), but I'm not sure how long that will last. I probably pack it too full. I'm actually wondering if I should invest in a new book bag. I mean, I've had my current one since high school. Or maybe I should just start carrying clothes and such in my small suitcase, if I can find it.
Speaking of things breaking, remember I mentioned getting a skull keychain from my mom for my birthday? Well, the skull has now come off for the second time. I really have no idea why they made it so easy for it to come off. I guess they wanted you to be able to remove it if you so desired, but why would I want a skull keychain without a skull attached? If they had just closed the link that hooks the skull to the chain, I wouldn't be having this problem.
It's been some time since I last practiced the guitar. In my Chord Strummer book, I made it up to finger picking, and then couldn't decipher the instructions. I'm thinking of having
bethje look at it with me. Not that she plays the guitar, but a second mind might well help in figuring out what the directions mean. I don't want to be stuck at this part of the book forever.
I also hope I'm not stuck in Mario and Luigi. I've tried fighting Cackletta twice, and failed miserably both times. I can probably get through it if I can get the timing right to dodge her attacks. It's one of those battles where you have to watch a bunch of dialogue again if you die, which is kind of annoying. Nowhere near as annoying as the part in Super Mario RPG with Valentina and Dodo, though.
