Not-So-Hotmail
Nov. 4th, 2004 04:22 pmMy Hotmail account still isn't working properly. It's a really weird problem, because I have three Hotmail accounts, and it's only the one that won't load. And it isn't just a matter of a "This server is too busy" or "page not found" error coming up (which has happened plenty of times in the past), but of the browser crashing totally when trying to load my mail. Well, Internet Explorer crashes, anyway, and that's what I usually use. Netscape and the AOL browser will load my account, but there are a LOT of bugs when I try to access stuff. Besides, I'm not at a place where I can use either of those browsers at this time. I sent a complaint to Hotmail's technical support, but I haven't heard back from them. I'm not sure whether to wait it out or have all my mail forwarded elsewhere. I'm not sure there's any free e-mail service that DOESN'T suck, but Hotmail has been giving me a particulary large amount of trouble as of late. Any suggestions?
By the way, I got my mix CD from
countblastula, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. I should have a chance to work on the mix CDs that I'm making for other people this coming weekend.

Date: 2004-11-04 02:58 pm (UTC)Hotmail has been working sporadically as of late, so I've been able to read some of my mail, but by no means all of it. I've already set up livejournal to send replies to my posts to my Gmail account, at least until this problem gets sorted out.
I'd really rather not pay for e-mail at all, if I can help it. I guess you get what you pay for in cases like this, but I can't really understand why it would be so hard to keep a mail server running. Maybe that shows how little I know about computers.
