Why do you have to change your e-mail address? I'm going hotmail because I'm doing away with my Verizon service and (hopefully) hotmail is unlikely to go away anytime soon.

I use Gmail, and it's working fine, but I have a friend whose account was suspended. I'll probably keep using it, but that does concern me.

I used to use Hotmail, but I didn't like it as much.

I don't like hotmail as much as I liked Verizon, but since I won't know what my new contact info is until after Mediacom hooks me up Friday, I figured it was best to get everything changed over.
