On the subject of "Wouldn't It Be Nice," more than likely that was just a snarky offhand rhetorical comment, but as someone who got that album for Christmas and has listened to it a billion times since in context-- well, maybe a billion times OUT of context over the years-- I would say "No"; because the album itself is primarily about the rollercoaster emotions of sensitive, coming-of-age teenagers (the Beach boys were in their twenties by then, but still very young relative to their level of success), and teenagers are STILL stuck at home with their parents instead of able to just pick up and live with their sweethearts today... heck, for that matter, how many ADULTS are stuck living at home with their parents for financial reasons... maybe it's ironic in that way.
