A largely pointless update

Today, Beth and I had lunch at Denny's, and I forgot to leave a tip. I went back there again to give a tip to our waitress, though, so I suppose everything is in order now. On my way back to Beth's house, I stopped at a music store and bought Beth a used CD of XTC's Black Sea, and myself a $3 copy of Sloan's Smeared. I still don't own my own copy of Navy Blues, though, and that's my favorite Sloan album. Oh, well.

black sea kicks major dingus. on a related note, the losers lounge tribute to XTC finally came out today, featuring Robin Goldwasser, Sean Nelson (harvey danger), Chris Anderson (muckafurgason), and Matthew Caws (nada surf), among others. alas, it lacks Sean Altman's amazing cover of Senses Working Overtime. still way better than A Testimonial Dinner though. check it totally out at www.loserslounge.com

Robin did Statue Of Liberty at the live show I attended. It was most excellent. I assume Scissor Man will be just as good. Also, David Driver did an excellent cover of The Man Who Sailed Around His Soul.
