For those of y'all who have Flickr accounts

I just recently got a new camera and signed up for a Flickr account, but I'm not sure how to go about adjusting the pictures to post there. What size should they be, and how can I make them that size? Any other tips regarding Flickr would be welcome as well.

You don't need to reisze them. When you upload, they make them into three different sizes for you.

Thanks. When I try to upload pictures, though, the file sizes are enormous. If each one is 2 megabytes or more, I'll fill up my 100 megabytes in no time.

There is this image progam I used in my PC days called irfranview (spelled wrong) I liked it a lot.

I've never used irfanview, but I hear it's good. I use paint shop pro to resize my photos, or you can use GIMP which is a freeware image editor. It's got a lot of options. GIMP is basically a freeware version of photoshop.

This doesn't really help you now, but you should also be able to change your camera settings to default to a smaller file size when you take the pictures. Then you won't have to resize them later. If you're mostly planning to upload to the web and not make 8"x10" prints, you won't notice the difference in the resolution. And you'll be able to fit more photos on your memory card.

It's not that my username is a secret (it's "fablesto"), just that when I say there's nothing there, I don't mean "nothing I think anyone would want to see." I mean that, at this point, there are literally zero pictures there.
