"Shall the amendment of Article II, Section I, paragraph 6 of the Constitution, agreed to by the Legislature, revising the current constitutional language concerning denial of the right to vote by deleting the phrase 'idiot or insane person' and providing instead that a 'person who has been adjudicated by a court of competent jurisdiction to lack the capacity to understand the act of voting' shall not enjoy the right of suffrage, be adopted?"
Yes, in the year 2007, they're thinking of MAYBE taking the word "idiot" out of the New Jersey State Constitution. There's progress for you!
Actually, though, considering how some recent elections have turned out, maybe MORE states should forbid idiots to vote.
Speaking of weird political stuff, in a dream I just recently had, I was watching David Lowery in concert. But somehow David was also Bill Clinton, and kept giving shout-outs to Hillary, who was sitting in the row in front of me. He ended his set with a cover of XTC's "Pink Thing," which seems like a rather odd thing for Bill to do if he's trying to get in good with his wife. But hey, since when do dreams have to make sense?
