I think I've only ever done one poll on here, and since I'll only have the ability to make more for another three months, I might as well go ahead and do another one. I should probably also do another voice post at some point, but I'm not sure what I'd say.

[Poll #1037620]

Any additional comments are welcome. Keep in mind that I already have Open for Business, so don't go picking the "you forgot one" option and mentioning that. I've been looking at the reviews on Amazon, and I can think of pros and cons to each one, but I'd like to get your input.

I liked the amount of gameplay that university added as well as the new career tracks. It does make the game a little too easy for the characters that go to college though (maybe not super realistic in that regard). I liked pets because I like pets- but I never really played all the training and pet career parts.

That reminds me of the Game of Life (or at least the version of it that I had), where everyone who goes through college automatically makes more than those who go directly into business. Would that that were true. Still, I don't expect games to necessarily be realistic in that respect. If careers in the Sims games were like they were in real life, it would take forever to get anywhere. And I do like the prospect of new careers. It was disappointing for me that The Sims 2 has exactly the same jobs as the original Sims (plus Slacker from the Livin' Large expansion). I believe that Seasons also has some new career tracks.

Pets was my favorite expansion for the original Sims, and there were some things I never got around to doing with the pets. I do have to wonder, however, whether the Sims 2 pets have lifespans proportional to those of the people. If cats and dogs are going to be dying after ten days or so, I'm not sure I could handle that (especially since they're probably not able to drink the Elixir of Life).

Duuuuuuude. I highly suggest DOWNLOADING them, because those bitches cost way much more than their worth.

Well, if you measure their value in terms of how much game-playing time you get out of each one, I'm sure they're well worth it. Unless the expansion has features that I'd hardly ever use, that is.

I picked Pets cos I heart the animals, but University is a lot of fun as well (although sometimes it seems like it takes foreeeever to get them all the way to graduation).

Do the Sims age while they're at college?

As soon as they arrive they change from being teenagers to young adults and then they stay young adults for as long as they're in college (so if they drop out or something they become adults earlier than if they'd stayed).
