Walking with scissors

1. Cracker (one of my three feline roommates) appears to be sick. He's been sneezing a lot recently. Dorothea (my human roommate) says she'll try to make a vet appointment for him tomorrow. Since it's so soon after bethje's cat David got sick and died, I'm kind of paranoid.

2. Am I the only one who finds that credit card commercial with the scissors walking around to be kind of disturbing? I mean, doesn't it just look like an accident waiting to happen?

3. After doing a fair amount of novel-writing on Friday, I haven't gotten any done since then. I did accomplish things that were probably much more important, like getting my room straightened, but I would like to get a little more writing done. I'm not really concerned about the 50,000-word goal, but I'd like to get at least a few more chapters done this month.

4. Thanks to slfcllednowhere for the Halloween card. It was sent to my old address, and just arrived here today.

5. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting married on my birthday. What do they think they're doing, stealing my thunder like that? Did Xenu put them up to it?

Things here are so bad, I just can't concentrate on my writing. I'm at 11,000 words... and I'm not gonna make it to 50,000.

I have 9820 words. I also have a pretty good idea how I want the story to play out, but it's always easier to imagine than to actually write down.

Poor kitty. At least kitty sneezes are adorable, though. But hopefully it's just a kitty cold or maybe he's just sneezing a lot because he knows it's cute.

There's also a commercial I've seen a lot recently with copy machines (or something like them; I forget exactly what they were) rolling down the street. That one doesn't disturb me, though.
