But you'll be thinking about me
Jul. 18th, 2006 03:48 pmI had a dream last night that I really wanted to play The Sims, so I started installing it on my computer. I kind of want to do that in my waking life, too, but I don't think I will, mostly because: 1) it's time-consuming, and I already spend pretty much all my free time on the computer as it is, and 2) I'm not sure if I have any of my old data, and I'm not sure I want to start over again. Actually, I probably have the data SOMEWHERE, but last time I tried loading it into a reinstalled game, some of the objects wouldn't load properly, and nobody remembered any of their friends from outside their own houses. Not huge problems, I'll admit, but kind of a hassle nonetheless.
Happy belated birthday to
jenhime! Also, congratulations to all you people for making this my first post to receive over fifty replies. Here's a similar meme, which I got from
lozenger8:
Post this in your journal, asking your friendslist (or whatever stranger that happens to wander by) to respond with whatever they know about you. It can be as matter of fact as 'Your name is Bridget, you're 25 and attending Harvard.' to the absolute useless 'One Thursday, you tried to hop down a flight of stairs and you fell on your face'.
Tag five people. A week later, write an 'about me' post to fill in the gaps in your friends knowledge.

Actually, I could sort of hear the next one up, but only because I knew there was supposed to be something there. And keep in mind that my ears are still somewhat damaged from the concert last night.
Heh, I like my most popular law. Harry really does get shabby treatment for someone who's saved the wizarding world so many times, doesn't he? But I've gone over this before.
Finally, here's a question. What programs do you people use to burn CD's? I know I've gotten some from both
revme and
obsessical that included the track information, which I've never been able to do.

You're a little frustrated that you can't hear all the tones that the young 'uns can but will be more than happy if it means you don't have to listen to their damn ringtones on the bus anymore. The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 14.9kHz |

Date: 2006-07-19 12:45 am (UTC)Contrary to recent photographs, in college you had very shaggy hair and a moustache.
You at one point in your life at least had cousins who lived in Ohio. Because your mom and siblings once dropped you off at my house on the way to go visit said cousins.
I'm going to have to play this game, too. Although my reponses to the last game were not nearly as interesting, nor as numerous, as yours. Then again you have a bigger friends list.

In other news, I use "Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum" to burn CDs. I don't like this so much as this program my dad has that allows you to actually edit tracks, but I don't have that program, and don't remember what it's called, either.

Date: 2006-07-19 01:10 am (UTC)You know a scary amount of trivia. You know a lot about the musical artists you listen to, and have seen many of them in concert with your girlfriend
You work in a Library, as well as having various temporary jobs - including one (sort of) recently with the IRS. You really want a permanent job.
*goes for the obvious*

Date: 2006-07-20 09:32 pm (UTC)I think it was actually my mom's cousin who lived there (which would make her my cousin once removed). I don't actually have any first cousins. Beth, on the other hand, has a whole bunch of them. And her cousin Dorothea is my honorary cousin. {g}

Date: 2006-07-20 09:34 pm (UTC)Actually, now that I think about it, isn't it usually adult men who pretend to be other things on the Internet, and not vice versa? Maybe I'm just different, though. {g}
