Let's see. Where did I leave off in my last post? I think it was on Tuesday, so I'll take it from there. That night, Dorothea bought dinner for [livejournal.com profile] bethje and me at Red Lobster, which was nice. Since it was Tuesday, Beth and I both had the shrimp special. Beth said that the fried shrimp wasn't as good this time, but I'm not sure I really noticed. Dorothea doesn't like seafood (no, I don't know what her problem is either {g}), so she had some steak thing, I think.

Yesterday, I found out that one of my hubcaps had fallen off, which is a remarkably common occurrence. I'm sure I've written about other ones falling off in the past. I bought a new one from Pep Boys, but it doesn't match any of the others (even the other one I bought from Pep Boys). I don't really care what they look like, though, as long as there's SOMETHING covering the wheels. I don't know why mine are so prone to falling off. Well, there's the fact that they're not screwed in, but just made to LOOK like they're screwed in. But I would imagine that this is common nowadays. I'm assuming they WANT people to keep buying new ones. Does anyone else lose them as often as I do, though?

I think I have the tracklists worked out for all of the mix CD's I said I'd make people. Now I just have to do the burnin' and the sendin', which are the more tedious and less enjoyable parts. I know I said I'd make them for [livejournal.com profile] revme, [livejournal.com profile] obsessical, [livejournal.com profile] rockinlibrarian, [livejournal.com profile] lozenger8, [livejournal.com profile] onib, and [livejournal.com profile] leolapyre. Am I forgetting anyone, or does anyone else want to jump on the bandwagon? I know [livejournal.com profile] slfcllednowhere expressed interest in the themed mixes I'm making, but since she's abroad now, I might wait on sending them.

Why is it so difficult to find world maps, or even just lists of locations, from the Mario games on the Internet? Actually, this looks to be a good list, even if it's woefully incomplete. I'm sure I've mentioned before that I think it would be cool to come up with a map that incorporates as many of the Mario games (and possibly cartoons and other media as well). But then, I've always had a weird obsession with maps of imaginary places (and of real places, for that matter, but those tend to be easier to come by). I'm sure the game designers don't much care about consistency of locations between games, but I guess there are always going to be geeks like me who want to figure out ways for it to all fit together.

Someone is stealing your hubcaps?

Well, I've lost hubcaps four times, and I know for a fact that three of them weren't thefts, because I saw and/or heard them fall off. I'm not totally sure about the most recent time, but I THINK they were there when I left for work, but not when I got there. And I didn't make any stops along the way. So I think it's likely that it's another case of a hubcap falling off. I'm really not too surprised, since it's not like they're actually screwed in or anything.
