Dreams I have seen
Jun. 6th, 2006 12:34 pmThe night before last, I had a dream that I was in a mall and just happened to run into some people I knew from college. Two of them (a girl and a guy) resembled actual people, but the other guy didn't. Within the context of the dream, though, I knew him. The girl had a plate of egg rolls and offered me one, and was incredulous when I turned it down. I said I didn't really like egg rolls that much, which is true. I'm no fan of cabbage. Anyway, I sat down to talk to the people, and the two guys were discussing some video game. I closed my eyes for a second, and when I opened them again, I was awake. It can be annoying when that happens, can't it?
I think I had a few different dreams last night, but the only one I can really remember had me dating a woman who was considerably older than me. For some reason, I was going to take pictures of her outside a store.
In my waking life last night,
bethje and I watched Desperate Living, one of John Waters' more obscure films. I think it's more obscure for a reason. It was funny, but hardly one of his best. I actually agree with this person that, when almost the whole movie takes place in an imaginary community of freaks who have no interaction with the outside world, it loses Waters' usual satirical edge.
