Love Battery
Apr. 23rd, 2006 11:59 amI had a dream that I was going to a Weird Al concert, and he was personally greeting everyone who showed up. A few people ahead of me in line took pictures of him, and I felt bad that I hadn't brought a camera. I said hello to Al, but I couldn't think of anything else to say, and I felt bad about THAT, too. The thing is, that dream is probably a very close estimation as to what would actually happen in that situation.
What is it with these wacky new age quiz results, anyway?
A few YouTube videos I've watched recently (mostly ones linked by other people):
Johnny Cash on Sesame Street (From
toddler_hiway, by way of
revme)
Remember this Zelda commercial? (From
twobitme)
Someone beating Super Mario Bros. 3 really fast (Totally fake. As far as I know, it's not possible to beat Bowser by jumping on him. A few other things look wrong, too. It's been a while since I've played that game, but it looked like the power meter stayed charged for too long, and Boom-Boom was too easily killed.)
The Ditty Bops' "Wishful Thinking" video
My cell phone battery seems to be dying a lot more quickly as of late. The contract expires in a few months, though, so I think I'm just going to hold out for a new phone. When I get that, I should probably also invest in a car charger. Everything uses rechargeable batteries nowadays, which is definitely cool in a way, but I could always carry spare alkalines with me. That's not a possibility with rechargeables.
By the way, happy birthday to
leolapyre!

![]() You are more than a little eccentric, and you're apt to keep very unusual habits. Whether you're a nightowl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence - you like to experiment with your lifestyle. Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it. You enjoy staying home, but that doesn't mean you're a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends. |

Date: 2006-04-23 07:24 pm (UTC)You're right that it's an awesome video, though. It's probably the cutest thing I've ever seen that involves beheading and heart-piercing. {g}

Date: 2006-04-23 06:41 pm (UTC)That old Zelda commercial cracked me up! For some reason, I imagined that the commercials for Zelda were serious, with dramatic music playing in the background. Seeing this silly one was a surprise.

There was also a Zelda commercial with a rap in it, but I don't have a link to it right now. I actually remember the one I linked to from when they showed it on TV, though.
