Let's get away from it all
Oct. 4th, 2006 07:05 pmI was thinking the other day about how long it's been since I've really taken a trip. Not that I ever took them that often in my childhood, but there were times when I'd go somewhere with one or the other of my parents. We went to Maine a few times, for instance. I kind of miss it, and it might be nice to take a trip WITHOUT being crammed in the car with my siblings and everybody's stuff. It's not exactly financially feasible at this point, though. The catch is that, if I were to get a full-time job, I'd have more money, but also less time in which to do things like trip-taking. Besides, I'm sure it would be difficult for me to be away from home (and the computer) for several days.
Also, since I received such a positive reaction to sharing my monkey story a little while ago, here's some other stuff I wrote when I was in second grade. These tales come from my January 1986 journal.
( Whales )
And this there's this really short one:
( The Bee Of The Sea And The Fly Of The Sky )
