An Unexpected Sighting
Jul. 30th, 2006 01:25 pmA few days ago, I was looking at something on the Internet, and a web page came up for some dating site. This would hardly be noteworthy if it weren't for the fact that there was a picture of my roommate on it. Weird, huh?
I was also talking to said roommate on my cell phone in the grocery store checkout line last night, and when I'd finished, the checkout clerk said I sounded kind of like "the short guy from Seinfeld." She hastily added that I didn't LOOK like him, but it was still a new one on me.

travspence mentioned the Library Hotel in a recent post. Something kind of similar appears in Lemony Snicket's The Penultimate Peril. I wonder if Daniel Handler was aware of the real-life hotel.
