I did a few things this past weekend, but I don't have that much to say about them. Still, when has that ever stopped me before? On Saturday night, I went out with [livejournal.com profile] bethje and Dorothea to Atlantic City. I hadn't been there in a while, so that was cool. On the Steel Pier, some woman practically accosted us to try to get us to pay for massages. Dorothea actually got one, but Beth and I declined. I don't think I'd enjoy a massage much, what with my discomfort at being touched by strangers. That, and my dad loves massages, so that means I have to find them uncool, right? :P

On Sunday, I also went out with Beth and Dorothea, this time to the second birthday party of Nathan, their cousin (once removed). Beth picked out a shirt and a bucket of Duplo blocks to give him. He's a happy baby, so that's good.

Here's an interview with Eric Shanower, in which he addresses Adventures in Oz, the new collection of his Oz graphic novels. I'm unsure as to whether I should get the regular edition or the limited one. The limited edition costs more than I'd really like to pay, but I would like to see the extra material that's in it.

And here are two surveys. )

I've now listened to the final three Phases of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio show (i.e., the ones that were made after Douglas Adams' death).

Spoilers for the radio series and the books )
Speaking of endings, I had a dream last night in which I had a copy of the final Harry Potter book. As far as I remember, though, I didn't actually have a chance to read it.

[1] One thing I've always wondered about the books is that, if the Earth was only five minutes away from coming up with the Ultimate Question before being destroyed, and the Earth in Mostly Harmless went on for years after that WITHOUT being destroyed, wouldn't it have completed its program? I have a few theories as to why it didn't, but I'm sure no one cares. I guess there are other forums for speculating about fictional events, so I should probably stop doing it in my journal. That's not to say that I actually WILL stop, mind you.
