Mall Madness
May. 13th, 2005 01:14 pmAs I indicated in my last post, I took
bethje to the King of Prussia Mall yesterday. That mall is full of stores I've never heard of, despite the fact that I've been there many times. I have to wonder whether these stores are just appearing and disappearing at random. I suppose it's also possible that I've never heard of a lot of them just because I have no real knowledge of clothes or the fashion industry, but what fun is that?
I was correct in my prediction that I wouldn't end up buying anything at the mall. Beth always likes to go to the Sanrio store, and she ended up buying a new Chococat purse there. There was a point when we were the only two customers in the store, yet there were about five employees working there. I'm not sure whether it was the day for an employee meeting or what.
After shopping, we ate at Bennigan's, which was good. They seem to have cut quite a bit out of their menu, though. For one thing, they no longer have dinner rolls as a side item. Now, their rolls were never that great, but I liked the idea that I could get bread with my dinner. Not enough places offer that. When I go to Denny's, I usually get the Moons Over My Hammy, and I've gotten into the habit of ordering a bagel in place of the hash browns or fries that usually come with it. I haven't actually tried that anywhere else I can think of, but maybe I should. I think Bennigan's also discontinued their spinach dip appetizer.
Tonight is the Ben Folds concert in Philadelphia. Expect some comments on that in the near future.
