Canada Haunts Me
Dec. 8th, 2004 08:57 amOne thing I forgot to mention about that whole O'Reilly thing is how it continues the trend of dumbass conservatives picking on Canada. Sheesh, what did Canada ever do to them? Did wolverines bite them in their youth? Were they beaten up by hockey players? Help me out here.
In Mario and Luigi, I've gotten three of the Beanstar pieces, and gathered all but one of the Bean Fruits I need to get the last piece. I really can't figure out how to get that last fruit, though. I know where it is, but I have no idea how to reach it. I guess I'll have to check a walkthrough, if I can't figure it out on my own in the near future. I did make it through several of the secret caves in the northern part of the Beanbean Kingdom. Most of the recent required mini-games haven't really been that bad. The barrel-sorting thing on the S. S. Chuckola was kind of tedious, but not all that difficult. I've had to consult a walkthrough a few times, but I've figured out most things on my own.
At my one workplace, most of the computers that the students use now have flatscreen monitors, but the computers at the reference and circulation desks still have the huge old ones. Is that at all fair?
Also, while I'm complaining, what's with the redesign for Google Groups? I'll probably get used to it eventually, but, well, it's not cool.
About an hour ago, I woke up from a dream about some video game, which I believe was supposed to be part of the Dragon Warrior series. I was stuck at some castle, and there was some battle that it had been impossible to win. The only things I knew I could do were to answer some girl's questions, and to play some game involving dogs in the town outside the castle. I believe
bethje's dog Dewey was somehow involved in this game. Anyway, I had to consult a walkthrough to figure out the answers to the girl's questions. They ended up following a set pattern, and I believe I was supposed to get something that would help me win the battle if I answered them all correctly. I never actually made it to that part of the game, though, since I woke up.
