It looks like all but three of the lyrics on my music quiz have been guessed correctly, and I tend to doubt anyone will get those three. So I might as well go ahead and post the answers.

1. All wrapped up in a winter wardrobe, she hurries by so fast. From "Winter Wooskie," by Belle and Sebastian. [livejournal.com profile] bartkolounger got the right answer, but even she can't tell me what a wooskie is.
2. The grass in the valley is starting to die, and out in the distance the whippoorwills cry. As [livejournal.com profile] bethje knew, this is from "Alone And Forsaken." The version I have is by Neko Case, but I understand that it was originally by Hank Williams Sr.
3. If we get bored, we'll move to California. "Vamos," by the Pixies. [livejournal.com profile] aliste got it.
4. Anyway, my eyes are not accustomed to this light. And my shoes are not accustomed to this hard concrete. "Flowers On The Wall," by the Statler Brothers. Not surprisingly, since he's talked about his fondness for this song several times in the past, [livejournal.com profile] revme got it.
5. I call out the numbers. The rumble of collective thunder today, the wages are down. "The Mystery Hours," by the New Pornographers. I never would have gotten it myself, as it's pretty hard to work out the lyrics to most of their songs (I had to look up the ones for this song), but [livejournal.com profile] bartkolounger is apparently a better listener than I am.
6. But he doesn't get nervous, she's not really there. Okay, did anyone NOT know that this was from "Shoehorn With Teeth," by They Might Be Giants? This was probably the easiest one on here. [livejournal.com profile] petie_s got it first.
7. He resides on a beach in a town where I am going to live. [livejournal.com profile] aliste knew that this was from "Dig For Fire," by the Pixies.
8. All rights that you cannot buy away, a lease that I want you to pay. "Keep On Thinkin'", by Sloan. I'm not sure I would have recognized the lyrics myself if I hadn't looked them up, but [livejournal.com profile] bartkolounger apparently did. Great song, from a great album. The general consensus seems to be that Twice Removed is the best Sloan album, but for me, it's all about Navy Blues.
9. I was wearing eyeliner. She was wearing eyeliner. [livejournal.com profile] tisok and [livejournal.com profile] aliste both got that it was from "Subbacultcha," the third Pixies song represented on here. I had intended to only use up to two from the same artist/band, and by the time I noticed there were three Pixies songs, people had already started replying. Oh, well.
10. Someone in this town is trying to burn their playhouse down. Another easy TMBG one, from "We Want A Rock." [livejournal.com profile] petie_s got it, and wins a prosthetic forehead to wear on his real head.
11. You get to know a morning face. You get to join the human race. From "Wake Up," by XTC, although it was actually the crappy Verve Pipe cover from A Testimonial Dinner that came up on iTunes. [livejournal.com profile] tisok got it right.
12. Yes, we may be hidden by rags, but we've something they'll never have. "Hand In Glove," by the Smiths. [livejournal.com profile] aliste got it.
13. It's 4:29, and out on the airwaves, midnight DJ plays for the lost and lonely, and their late-night ways. Nobody got that this was from "Basing Street," by the Minus 5, and I'm not too surprised. The only other person who's likely to have heard the song was [livejournal.com profile] revme, and he didn't know it.
14. Don't ever give your love for free, but then again, don't ever let it be sold. "Young Cleopatra," by Andy Partridge. I was hoping someone would get this, since I know some people on my friends list are familiar with the Fuzzy Warbles CD's, but no one did.
15. I'd really like to be with you, 'cause we can be so dark. It was only by the grace of you that I got this attitude. "I See The Light," by Cracker. [livejournal.com profile] aliste got it.
16. I heard the eternal footman bought himself a bike today. "Pretty Good Year," by Tori Amos. [livejournal.com profile] bartkolounger got it.
17. Don't write naughty words on walls if you can't spell. "Be Prepared," by Tom Lehrer, who is not now and has never been a member of the Boy Scouts of America. [livejournal.com profile] revme got this one.
18. As I shoved off, I took a good look behind me. My tether gone, a greater binding awaiting. Another hard one that nobody got. It's actually from "Start A Life," by the Posies. I wouldn't have known it either.
19. It's a love that lasts forever. It's a love that has no past. "Don't Let Me Down," by the Beatles. I'm not surprised at all that [livejournal.com profile] rockinlibrarian got it.
20. Throw your homework onto the fire. As [livejournal.com profile] aliste and [livejournal.com profile] bartkolounger knew, it's from "Sheila Take A Bow," by the Smiths. Since I only have one Smiths CD (the Singles collection), I'm surprised they came up twice. I DID close iTunes in between the two of them, but still.

I watched the first disc of the Futurama Season 2 set with commentary, as I am wont to do. It seemed like there were more moments with no one saying anything than there were on the Simpsons commentaries, but I could be wrong. Regardless, there were plenty of interesting or amusing moments, like when someone commented on the guitar-playing mutant's line about flushing guitar strings in "I Second That Emotion." I also liked how Billy West explained that he came up with Nixon's "arrooo" because it always seemed to him like Nixon was about to turn into a monster.

I just randomly started watching the commentary on the second dvd, disc like...three, I think. I jsut had that disc in, and I was like "I should watch the commentary." I love David X. Cohen's voice, and how he remembers all sorts of things, and laughs a lot. They sound like a bunch of fun guys.

Yeah, they always seem to be having a lot of fun talking about the show, which is cool.
