I started out a little tightly wound

1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"ture. Whatever moral failure a person commits is traceable to"
2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?:
A barcode scanner
3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?:
Does Arrested Development on DVD count? Actually, I probably watched something else after that, but I can't remember what.
4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
11:45 AM
5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:
11:43 AM
6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:
I WAS just listening to the Moxy Früvous album Wood, but it ended.
7: When did you last step outside? what were you doing?:
A few hours ago, when I got out of my car
8: What are you wearing?:
A mostly-red shirt with vertical stripes, khaki pants, boxers, black socks, and brown shoes
9: What happened to the missing question?:
It was sacrificed so that there could be an extra Question 21.
10: Did you dream last night?
I assume I dream every night, but I can't always remember.
11: When did you last laugh?
I can't remember.
12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?:
A lot of stuff, but none of it is mine.
13: Seen anything weird lately?:
If anything had been weird enough for me to remember, I probably would have already written about it in here.
14: What do you think of this quiz?:
It's okay. I've seen better, and I've seen worse. At least it seems to be avoiding really obvious and over-asked questions and highly personal stuff.
15: What is the last film you saw?:
Hellraiser V: Inferno
16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?:
Stocks and bonds? Nah, I'm kidding myself. I know it would almost certainly be food.
17: Tell me something about you that I don't know:
I'm currently listening to "Mayor Of Simpleton." You didn't know that, did you? {g}
18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?:
I liked Loz's answer, so I'm just going to stick with it. "Everyone would have enough food and drink and a roof over their heads."
19: Do you like to dance?:
I'm usually too self-conscious, but I'd probably like it if I knew how.
20: George Bush:
Do you mean the grumpy one or the stupid one?
21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
I like the name Anna, actually.
21: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:
I'm not really good with boys' names, for some reason. I might like to go with some kind of literary allusion, but I can't think of anything appropriate.
22: Would you ever consider living abroad?:
Sure, as long as I could have Internet access.
Since I don't like to make a post that's nothing but a survey, I'll try to think of some other things to say. First of all, as I mentioned in the survey, I listened to Wood today for the first time in a while. That's probably my second favorite Früvous album, after Bargainville. I've heard people say they didn't like it much at first, but I did. I don't entirely get why the band did "Fly" at pretty much every concert, though. It's totally not one of the better songs on the album. Oh, and does anyone else think the musical opening of "On Her Doorstep" sounds like the beginning of "Golden Slumbers"? I've asked people about this before, and they usually said they couldn't really hear it. I've recently listened to them back-to-back, though, and they sound pretty darned similar to me.
The Weird Al Show will apparently be out on DVD later this year. Hooray! I missed a lot of episodes of that when it was actually on. There's also talk of Futurama coming back on the air, but I refuse to believe that until I see it.

Date: 2006-01-07 11:33 pm (UTC)Nick and I got season 1 of FG on dvd and loved it, and laughed and laughed... and laughed some more. Then we just started watching it on television, the newest season - they've put it on with American Dad and we hardly laughed at all. I guess I'm wondering - has the quality of the show since it's come back degraded?

Date: 2006-01-08 12:12 am (UTC)But Stewie's voice is different right?
(As well as Meg's, but that's a different actress - and do you know why Lacey Chabert was never credited?)

Date: 2006-01-08 01:06 am (UTC)I'm sure all the voices have changed somewhat over time (compare to how Homer sounded like Walter Matthau in early Simpsons episodes), but I don't recall Stewie's ever sounding much different. Lois, on the other hand, sounded quite different in the earliest episodes, even though I'm pretty sure it was Alex Borstein doing the voice the whole time.
I've heard about Chabert being uncredited, but I can't recall if I've ever heard why. Probably some kind of weird legal reason.

Date: 2006-01-08 04:18 am (UTC)"Fly" is pretty good, but, well, I heard Live Noise before Wood, and the only Wood songs on LN are that and "Horseshoes." Based on those two, I didn't know that I'd like Wood, but it turned out I did. I actually think the version of "Horseshoes" on Wood is better than the one on LN.
