Unless you're a kid in school, it's not very pleasant to wake up to the sight of snow on the ground. I mean, I used to like snow when I was young, but that was because I didn't have to DO anything in it. Shoveling snow is a pain in the ass, and driving in the snow is terrifying. I know some people like snow well into their adult lives, but I have to wonder why.
I complain about winter weather on here a lot, don't I? Maybe I should try coming up with some new topics.
Okay, how about this? My dreams last night included one where I was in a college dorm hallway where some lizard-type creatures were running on their hind legs, and a lady had a fire-breathing cat. There was also something about people diving off a water tower into a pool, and students singing really loudly, but the animals were definitely the most interesting part. I love it when I have dreams like that, and just wish they'd include more details.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention that I played Phantasy Star for a little while last night. I managed to get the hovercraft, although I had to consult a walkthrough to find out how. I kind of feel like I'm cheating when I do things like that, but I guess a little cheating is better than being stuck forever. I'm more or less stuck in several games now, including Mario and Luigi (the main problem there probably being that, when I give up on the game, I'm out of practice by the time I pick it up again), Final Fantasy II (I'm in the Soul of Rebirth part, which seems to be almost impossible), and Paper Mario (which probably wouldn't be THAT difficult to move ahead in, but I don't get the chance to play that as much as the others).
I remembered doing this meme back in January, and since it's now the last month of 2005, I figured I might as well do it again. So here's the first sentence I wrote in my journal every month this year:
January: Happy new year, I guess.
Feburary: So, I made a few updates to my web page, since much of it was hilariously out of date.
March: It's amusing that, after three seasons of American Idol, Ryan Seacrest is still lost without the teleprompter.
April: So, as I believe I've mentioned before, today (or I guess yesterday, at this point) was the show with David Lowery and Johnny Hickman from Cracker at the North Star Bar.
May: Today is May Day, so I wouldn't recommend air travel.
June: So, two more episodes of Bullshit! last night.
July: Today after work, I got a haircut.
August: Well, I finally bit the bullet (not literally) and saw a doctor about my ear infection.
September: Ugh, taking naps tends to make me feel so weird and groggy.
October: I had some weird dreams the night before last that loosely pertained to the Halloween series.
November: So, yesterday,
bethje and I were all set to go over to Beth's aunt's house, when I found out that one of my tires was flat.
December:
bethje and I ate at Friday's on Wednesday night (but we don't plan to eat at Wednesday's on Friday night).
Exciting year so far, huh? {g}
