Last night, we watched The Omen, which was kind of hokey, honestly. And there was hardly any focus on the kid himself, which made the whole thing difficult to buy. Maybe he didn't become evil due to being the spawn of Satan, but simply because his parents never seemed to pay him any attention whatsoever. I think the scene where his dad was trying to kill him was the most time they spent together during the whole film. Anyway, even though I didn't expect the movie to be great, I felt I should see it, because it's apparently the reason my name isn't Damon. The kid's name in the movie is actually Damien, but I guess that was close enough. That's what my mom told me, anyway. My parents never actually saw the movie, but it was released the year before I was born, so I guess it was on the national consciousness at the time. At one point, I used "Damon Pythias" as a pseudonym, but I got tired of it. Besides, I did a Web search at one point and found out someone else was using the same name (although they weren't using the extra detail I had added, which was "Zeus" as the middle name).

Rosemary's Baby is supposed to arrive from Netflix soon, so I guess we'll be able to see which Antichrist movie is better.
