Bearing the Torch of Surveydom

I had the proverbial (or should that be "metaphorical"?) torch passed to me by obsessical, so I'm going to do this survey, even though I don't really have answers for a few of the questions.


1. Favourite scent: I've always liked the smell of sawdust.
2. Favourite way to relax: Sit down and read a book
3. Favourite movie you own: UHF, I guess. I really don't own very many movies. Aside from that, I have The Wizard of Oz (on both VHS and DVD), Return to Oz, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Beetlejuice, and The Life of Brian. I think that's all. I just don't buy movies, generally.
4. Favourite movie you don't already own: I don't really know. The movie I'd probably most like to own that I don't yet is Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite. Oh, I also want to own The Neverending Story.
5. Favourite male movie star: You know, I really have no idea.
6. Favourite female movie star: See the previous answer. I mean, if you were to name certain actors, I might be able to say, "Yeah, I liked him/her in [Movie X]" or "They suck!" But I just don't have any ready answers for these questions. I'm probably about the only person on Earth who doesn't. (Now, if it were favorite male and female MUSICIANS, I'd be able to rattle off a bunch of names.)
7. Favourite book genre: Fantasy, preferably with a heavy dose of humor thrown in
8. Favourite clothing store: I buy most of my clothes at Kmart. I'm classy! {g}
9. Favourite non-clothing store: Borders
10. Favourite cartoon character: Just about any of the main Futurama characters would fit here.
11. Favourite CD you own: XTC's Skylarking
12. Favourite CD you don't already own: Technically speaking, probably Neko Case's Furnace Room Lullaby. (bethje owns it, and made a copy for me.) In terms of things that Beth doesn't own either, I remember really enjoying the Flaming Lips' Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, which I checked out from the library a few years ago.
13. Pass the torch to five of your LJ friends (if you guys are so inclined): No. It's not like most people pay attention to the torch-passing, anyway. Just do it if you want to.

Thanks for picking up the torch. Normally, when torches get dropped, things catch on fire. Unless you're in England, in which case you're just a dolt who dropped his flashlight.
