vovatHappy Father's Day! I don't know if any dads read this, but I'm putting that in there just in case. I just tried calling my dad, but he didn't seem to be in. I know I currently have no desire to be a father. I was just thinking the other day about how bad I'd be at raising kids. Which makes the result of this quiz kind of odd.

bethje and I watched two more movies. The first was Napoleon Dynamite, which I was seeing for the second time. I have to say that I liked it considerably better this time around. I still didn't absolutely love it like a lot of people do, but I think I appreciated it more. I think at least part of this has to do with the company I was in. The first time, I saw it with my mom, who didn't like it very much. The second time, I saw it with Beth, who loved it. So I guess I'm just impressionable. {g} Really, though, I'm sure everyone's opinions are occasionally colored at least somewhat by the people around them.
I also got a chance to see the deleted scenes. I thought the one where Napoleon and Pedro were hiding the suit so they could buy it later was funny, as was Pedro's story about the corn chips.
The other movie we watched was A Dirty Shame. It was pretty good, but definitely the weakest of the John Waters films I've seen so far (which, in addition to the one I just saw, would be Hairspray, Pecker, and Cecil B. Demented). It had quite a few funny parts, but it seemed less developed than the other movies, in that it just took one idea and ran with it for the entire time. I did notice a lot of similar cult themes to those in Cecil.
