I guess there's no way to get an internship after you've graduated, even though you CAN go back and take more classes. You'd think the schools would like the idea, since it would mean more money for them. Oh, well.

I had a dream last night about an elevator in some incredibly tall building. There were over 18,000 floors, but the elevator was incredibly fast. Annoyingly, it kept skipping over the floor I needed. I think the dream was actually inspired by the Tower of Bab-il in Final Fantasy IV, which is so tall that you can't fly an airship over it. Years ago, when I was new to the Internet and participating in an FF-based writing game, I came up with the idea that characters would have to search for something on incredibly high levels of the tower. I also thought it would be cool to have the characters fall almost all the way down the elevator shaft, only to be saved at the last minute by a Float spell, and then break out through the closed doors with a magic sword. I never actually got to use this, though.

Speaking of role-playing games, I've returned to Dragon Warrior Monsters, but I can't really get much of anywhere. It seems like my options at this point are to fight the Master Monster Tamer, or to get a GoldSlime so I can enter another travellers' gate. The former is practically impossible, and the latter means gathering up a lot of Metal Babbles so I can breed them. It's quite difficult to get a Metal Babble to join you, and I think I accidentally bred one of the ones I DID get with the wrong monster.

By the way, I hate unpacking.

What famous dinosaur are you?

I don't know about the results for the rest of that quiz, but that dinosaur was in public service ads about brushing your teeth and flossing in the '90s.

Ohh, ha. I just realized it said "What famous dinosaur are you?" I originally thought it was just "What dinosaur are you?" and they randomly used that PSA one. Whoops

I don't know, though, I think most places would be open to having an intern, even if they weren't backed by a University. Because, hey, Free Labor is Free Labor, right?

Also, I remember those PSAs. I miss Saturday Morning Cartoons.

Do a lot of places hire interns who aren't students nowadays?

Well, I'd think not, but I think that might be more of a thing of Supply Versus Demand, since, after all, most interns _are_ students, so, yeah. I figure it couldn't do any harm to ask, y'know? Especially if you're willing to do the whole "Working For Free" thing that makes the Internship Model so attractive to employers.
