Fair Folk and Fussy Tresses

It's amusing that, after three seasons of American Idol, Ryan Seacrest is still lost without the teleprompter.
Since I enjoyed Eloise Jarvis McGraw's Oz books (which she co-wrote with her daughter Lauren), I decided to check out another one of her books, The Moorchild. This was a Newbery Honor Book, and it's pretty good. The story revolves around a half-fairy changeling, who was driven out of the fairy realms and left in a human village. I've found stories about fairy changelings to be interesting for some time. I think McGraw did a good job of describing fairy society, and of creating a character who is essentially an outcast in both the fairy and human worlds. I haven't finished the book yet, but I should probably be able to get through the rest of it next week.
A headline on the AOL welcome screen this morning said, "Oscars '05 Featured Frilly Lace, Fussy Tresses." Does anyone else think "Fussy Tresses" would make a good band name? Maybe for an all-girl group or something.
Speaking of bands, David Lowery and Johnny Hickman of Cracker are going on tour. I should be seeing them in Philadelphia, if all goes as planned.
