I got this from lozenger8, and here are my answers to the questions she asked me:

The world freezes over, and you're trapped in a Library - what books
are you not at all upset to toss into the fire?

While I'm very much opposed to book-burning, I probably wouldn't have THAT many qualms with burning the romance novels. I also recall having a particular distaste for a book that we used back in school called Asking the Right Questions, but I can't really recall why.

Which is better - pasta or rice?

Pasta, by far. I've never been a rice fan.

What is your favourite They Might Be Giants song?

"It's Not My Birthday," partially for personal reasons, but also because it's just such a damn cool song.

So... if you weren't already attached, which Futurama character would
you want to date?

The Crushinator! No, seriously, I don't think I would really want to date any of them, but I guess Leela would be my top choice.

Do you ever wish Oz were a real place?

Oh, I've been wishing that for YEARS.


I got some headphones that seem to fit my purposes. I'm using them now. I also found another copy of that Phantasy Star Collection at GameStop, and went ahead and bought it, despite the fact that it was $3 more than it was at the EB Games I stopped by on Wednesday. (And yes, that store actually WAS an EB Games, even though I misidentified it as a GameStop in an earlier entry. They're pretty similar, really.) I do wish used games came with instruction books. I can generally figure out how to play them without instructions (and if I don't, there's usually an FAQ on the Internet), but I still like having the manuals. They sometimes have interesting background information on the story and such. I guess there's no help for it if people lose the instructions before selling their games, but some people must hold on to them. Places like GameStop and EB Games probably wouldn't take the instructions even if a seller DID still have them, though. Anyway, I should try out the game sometime today.

I also stopped by Coconuts. I didn't buy anything there, but I thought I should mention that this particular Coconuts started putting their used CDs on their sides, so you can read the spines. That's a minor change, but one that I'm sure will save me a significant amount of time in scanning for anything that might interest me (there usually isn't anything). They also mention TMBG as having an upcoming release on 15 February, which I assume is Here Come the ABC's. Kind of odd, since I'm pretty sure they didn't list Mink Car as an upcoming release, and they didn't even have No! in stock, but hey.

I still need to get a USB cable for my printer. I have to wonder why those things are so expensive. I mean, they don't really DO anything. They just connect two things. I wouldn't think they'd cost that much to make, either. I guess it's another case of the middleman at work.
