So Little to Do, and So Much Time

If there's one thing I can't complain about these days, it's not having enough to do. It's just that work and other obligations are always getting in the way, and when I'm at home all I generally want to do is sleep and write blog posts. I guess that's something, though. I just wish I received more feedback. It's not like I pour my heart and soul into every post (more like my black bile and skin flakes), but I do write about things I think are interesting, and wish more people would share my interest. I guess that's what happens when you have oddly specialized interests. Anyway, things I probably should do in the near future include:
Anyway, here's a survey I got from

* People who have been tagged must write the answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new, original question.
* Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
1. Make a list of 5 things that you can see without getting up.
Lots of books, Dewey, telephone, cell phone, lint brush
2. How many times have you changed your hairstyle in the past five years?
I haven't really, but I'm not particularly style-conscious. My biggest changes in hair were when I started growing it long in my senior year of high school and when I had it cut short again, but those were well over five years ago.
3. What is your favourite article of clothing (that you own) and why?
I don't know. Probably one of my Mario shirts.
4. What's your favorite cartoon?
The Simpsons
5. If you got a tattoo, what would it be of?
The Oz symbol
6. What's your favorite mystical creature?
Oh, I know so many mythical animals, but I'd still probably say a dragon.
7. What are you thinking about right now?
How many tabs I have open that I'm sure I don't need
8. Write the first word that comes to mind.
book
9. What musician is your favorite to see in concert?
Probably They Might Be Giants overall, but I've gotten a bit burnt out on their shows in the past few years.
10. If you came across $2,000 (or other currency) would you keep it or turn it in?
Turn it in
11. What was the last thing that you bought?
I think it might have been a bottle of soda.
12. What other countries have you been to (if any)?
Just Canada
13. Do you have a favorite comedian and if yes, who?
Not really, but maybe I'd say Weird Al, if he counts.
14. Last book you've read?
The last one I finished was The Witches of Chiswick, by Robert Rankin.
15. What are you doing this weekend?
Working
16. What is your song of choice RIGHT NOW? The one you select when you kick off your playlist in the morning or whenever.
I don't know that there's any one song right now, as I'm just getting into some new albums. Well, new to me, not to the world at large. Maybe the Bonzo Dog Band's version of "Mickey's Son and Daughter."
17. Favourite movie of the last six months?
That came out in the last six months, you mean? I don't think I've seen any. Tangled didn't come out TOO long before that, though, did it? I know I saw it within the past six months.
18. Favorite season?
I'd probably say spring, except for the allergies.
19. Which part of this year are you looking forward to the most?
I'm really not looking forward right now. It's mostly just more of the same.
20. Best thing this year so far?
Making new friends through the Internet
I think the tagging thing is really dumb, but since the instructions asked so rudely, I'll go ahead and do it. I tag
bethje,
carvinkeeper12,
annamatic,
lozenger8,
odontv,
rockinlibrarian,
vilajunkie, and
zimbra1006. Feel free to disregard this, though.
- Work on editing my Oz stuff, and hopefully get some of it published. It seems easier to do that now, what with print-on-demand and all that, but I'm still not sure exactly how to accomplish it. I have three basically-finished longer manuscripts, and I'm more or less satisfied with one of them, which is actually the one I churned out rather quickly. The one that took me years to complete still needs some changes, but I'm not sure whether the most recent changes I've been contemplating are for the better or not, since they add complications to the plot.
- Clean this room, at least as much as I'm able. That's something I should probably do in stages, which is how I often do things I don't find all that pleasant, and even sometimes things I enjoy. I'm never really sure where good stopping points are, though, and leaving it too long often means I generate more mess.
- Apply for jobs. (Yuck.)
- Check out some of the DVDs and video games that I've had sitting around for a while. I wouldn't say that's exactly productive, but it makes me feel bad that there's stuff I specifically asked for some time ago and I still haven't gotten around to even opening it.
