Right on, person-who-actually-paid-attention-to-the-Back-to-the-Future movies. I thought everybody knew that!

Apparently someone doctored up a screenshot of the time circuits to make it look like Marty and Doc went to 2010, but I'm not sure why they bothered. Come on, thirty years back and then thirty years ahead. It's not THAT difficult. I do believe Doc originally wanted to go forward twenty-five years (which WOULD mean 2010), but he changed his mind after Marty came back from 1955.

Regardless, I don't think the prospect for hoverboards in the next five years is that good. Most of the major technological developments since the eighties have been in home and portable electronics.
