I was supposed to see a dermatologist today, but it turned out they never got the referral from the regular doctor, even though I called the office about it the other day. The particularly annoying thing is that the doctor's office was right around the corner, but they wouldn't let me go over there to ask about the referral. Apparently they couldn't see me if I showed up too long after the appointment time, even though I actually came into the office ten minutes EARLY, and that was after sitting in the parking lot and reading for a while. But apparently leaving the office and coming back somehow negates that, so I had to reschedule. Not a big deal, but you'd think this referral thing wouldn't be so difficult. I just had to sort another referral out with the insurance company, because I didn't realize exactly how it worked. But this time, I went about it the right way, and it still didn't work out.

I think I commented on this before, but who decided that "writing for the web should be concise"? Is that some kind of rule? I mean, I guess it's usually better to avoid unnecessary verbosity, but what if I were writing for a website with a minimum word count for articles? Besides, a large number of sentences doesn't necessarily mean a person is verbose; they could just be addressing a lot of topics in the same entry. That said, I AM rather verbose, I'm sure.

I always wonder how those stats would change, at least in my case, if it took friends-locked entries into account....

It would probably be about the same for me, because I don't know too many people who only comment on my friends-locked entries. But that's not true for everyone.

Yeah, I don't think the comments list WOULD change much, but quite likely the blogging style one would change. Though I'd still be Verbose.

Well, I guess "unique" is an absolute, so I'd have to be either 0% or 100%, right? :P
