Domestic Woes

Where I live, they're supposed to collect the recyclables every other Monday. It turns out that one of those Mondays was New Year's Day, but I put them out anyway, just in case. They took the regular garbage on Tuesday, but not the recyclables. I thought it was possible that they would take them a week late, but no such luck. So, essentially, there's apparently going to be a four-week gap in between collection. And here I am with all of these empty plastic apple juice and fruit punch bottles.

Also, I tried washing the old green blanket that was in the trunk of my car, and now I no longer HAVE an old green blanket. It totally fell apart. Oh, well. If the blanket won't last in the wash, it probably wouldn't be much good for covering up with either. I should probably get a new blanket when I get the chance.
