I had wanted to post pictures of the large artificial Christmas tree that's now up in my house, and maybe some other decorations as well, but I haven't had the chance to TAKE any pictures. I really need to get my own camera, don't I? I also want to post some pictures of my room, since I now have posters up on the walls. For some reason, I keep having dreams that my posters are falling down. And one of them actually did at one point, although I managed to get it stuck up pretty well with more of that adhesive stuff. Anyway, yeah, I should eventually have some pictures up, but don't hold your breath for them.
bethje has a songbook that includes a song with the odd title "Twinkle Twinkle Little Me." Imagine my surprise when I actually heard the song while at work recently. The tune didn't resemble that of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," but it was ABOUT a star, as far as I could tell. I still have yet to hear "Thirty-Two Feet And Eight Little Tails" or "Christmas On The Moon," though. But the Christmas music does include "Greensleeves" (I believe it's Vanessa Carlton's version), which bugs me because it's not a Christmas song! It just has a tune that was later reused for a Christmas song. I guess they just need to put the Coventry Carol in a playlist of breakup songs, and it'll all be even.
Oh, and while I'm on the subject of Christmas songs, you know how the one I reference in the title has the line, "And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again"? My mom said it was always easier for her when my siblings and I were on vacation, because she didn't have to get up early and get us ready for school. I guess whoever wrote that song thought otherwise, though.
And here are two amusing videos that I found through my friends page (which I've finally caught up with):
