And don't forget to hang up your sock
Dec. 13th, 2006 07:21 amThe ranks of drunk-driving celebrities like Mel Gibson and Paris Hilton now have a less famous but just as deserving (of the negative publicity, that is) addition: Bruce Tinsley, the artist (and I use that term very loosely) behind the conservative comic strip Mallard Fillmore. For those of you not familiar with the strip, it usually consists of a badly-drawn duck angrily regurgitating a right-wing talking point. And...well, that's pretty much it. Occasionally there will also be an offensive and barely recognizable celebrity caricature, or a line from a liberal straw man. From what I understand, some papers choose to carry the strip to provide "balance" to left-wing comics like Doonesbury.
I can't remember most of my dreams last night, but I know there was one that somehow involved the Trojan War, in which I found out that the King of Troy who preceded Priam was named Lawrence.
Okay, hows about if y'all give me some virtual gifts? They're a lot cheaper than real ones. About 100% cheaper, in fact.
