I forgot to put out the garbage last night. I remembered when I got up, but it wasn't really a fun way to start the day.

Okay, let's see here. Last night's Simpsons was another one with a decent premise that turned into something predictable. It seems like pretty much every plot nowadays eventually turns into "Homer does something dumb and has to make it up to Marge," with other characters sometimes taking the places of Homer and/or Marge in that broad conflict description. I'm also a little tired of Homer getting fired over and over again. He's starting to make George Jetson look like a guy with job security. And Homer licking Mr. Burns was pretty messed up. Still, this wasn't a bad episode, all things considered. The popsicle stick sculpture idea was neat, and I liked the Oprah parody and Comic Book Guy's appearance.

The framing story for American Dad was a good idea. I guess now we know that Klaus will eventually be restored to a human body, although I doubt it will be something we'll actually see during the course of the show. I thought the knight in armor was really funny, too, but that pretty much goes without saying if you know about my tastes in comedy.

In Family Guy, the plots about Peter becoming addicted to chick flicks and Stewie getting into a steady relationship were both amusing enough, but not exceptional for the show. As far as the flashback gags go, the Chester Cheetah and Q-Bert bits were both pretty funny.

Also, I've recently discovered the Captain SNES online comic, and been spending a lot of my time catching up on the archives. It's worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of Super Nintendo games and/or the Captain N cartoons. There's a major role for Gato from Chrono Trigger, and a team-up between Magus and Mario. It looks like it hasn't been updated in some time, though. The last regular comic was put up back in April.
