Apparently there's some joke involving dogs and the Super Bowl to which I'm not privy. That's according to my dream a few nights ago, anyway. I also remember there being stuff about rest stops, children's birthday parties, onib living in my town, and Laura Cantrell playing in my living room.

And while I'm on the subject, twobitme posted a link to this tribute to Link. Isn't it crazy how there have been so many different Links, yet they're all practically identical? Are they related? Is there a small gene pool at work? Or are they reincarnations of the same hero, as Wikipedia suggests?

Last night, bethje and I watched Polyester. I've seen better John Waters films, but they all have a good deal of exaggerated, satirical, and somewhat surreal humor that I enjoy. Who else would have come up with the Baltimore Foot-Stomper?

Today, I completed another one of my objectives for the week by getting an oil change. I get a free car wash with that, but I decided not to use it today, since it was raining. It doesn't have to be used the same day as the oil change, but I think I totally forgot about it the last time I didn't get them both done on the same day. Here's hoping that doesn't happen this time around. As for the final item on that list, I think I'm going to wait until I find out my exact word schedule for the next few weeks before making a dentist's appointment.

Beth and I had lunch at Applebee's this afternoon, which was tasty. I like the Apple Chimicheesecake that they offer for dessert. Now I'm eating a Red Baron sausage and pepperoni pizza, which is also tasty. And for anyone keeping score, I found my Starbucks gift card (it was UNDER the car, as I found out after pulling out of the space), and Beth's mom fixed the rip in my coat.
