Just in case you haven't seen it yet, this Contract of Wifely Expectations has to be seen to be believed. (Link courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] 3x1minus1.)

Apparently there's some joke involving dogs and the Super Bowl to which I'm not privy. That's according to my dream a few nights ago, anyway. I also remember there being stuff about rest stops, children's birthday parties, [livejournal.com profile] onib living in my town, and Laura Cantrell playing in my living room.

[livejournal.com profile] petie_s made this cool Triforce cake, in honor of the twentieth anniversary of The Legend of Zelda.

And while I'm on the subject, [livejournal.com profile] twobitme posted a link to this tribute to Link. Isn't it crazy how there have been so many different Links, yet they're all practically identical? Are they related? Is there a small gene pool at work? Or are they reincarnations of the same hero, as Wikipedia suggests?

Last night, [livejournal.com profile] bethje and I watched Polyester. I've seen better John Waters films, but they all have a good deal of exaggerated, satirical, and somewhat surreal humor that I enjoy. Who else would have come up with the Baltimore Foot-Stomper?

Today, I completed another one of my objectives for the week by getting an oil change. I get a free car wash with that, but I decided not to use it today, since it was raining. It doesn't have to be used the same day as the oil change, but I think I totally forgot about it the last time I didn't get them both done on the same day. Here's hoping that doesn't happen this time around. As for the final item on that list, I think I'm going to wait until I find out my exact word schedule for the next few weeks before making a dentist's appointment.

Beth and I had lunch at Applebee's this afternoon, which was tasty. I like the Apple Chimicheesecake that they offer for dessert. Now I'm eating a Red Baron sausage and pepperoni pizza, which is also tasty. And for anyone keeping score, I found my Starbucks gift card (it was UNDER the car, as I found out after pulling out of the space), and Beth's mom fixed the rip in my coat.
