Last year, I used an online tax filing program that was free if your income was under a certain amount. I assumed the same was going to be true this year, but apparently you now have to pay UNLESS you access the site through the IRS website. I wish I had known that BEFORE I put in my tax information, because that ended up being a waste of my time.
Speaking of annoying bureaucratic stuff, I'm supposed to get a rebate for my printer, but the company says they won't send it to me because I sent them a photocopy of the UPC, rather than the original. I guess they did say they wanted the "original UPC barcodes" in the instructions, but I figured a copy would do. I've applied for other rebates recently, and none of them required the actual barcode. Oh, well. It's not too late to fix it, but it IS kind of a hassle.
Considering how much I used to play the original The Sims, is it weird that I really don't have any desire to get The Sims 2, or even to play the original game again? I guess the novelty of the game has worn off for me. What I hear about the sequel is good as far as it goes, but it mostly sounds like more of the same.
Anyway, happy Easter Monday, for any of you who celebrate it. Which probably isn't anyone reading this.
