Levitate Me

As I'm sure you know, today is Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year. I'm probably not going to be doing any shopping today, but I guess I will have to do that soon. I'm not a big fan of Christmas shopping, because I never know what to get anybody. Well, for the most part, anyway. I think bethje is easy to shop for, but that might be largely because she likes the same kind of stuff I do. Not exactly the same items, but the same sorts of things (books, CDs, video games, etc.).

In my dream last night, I could run in the air. Actually, this is a pretty common recurring dream for me. I don't recall ever dreaming that I could fly as such, but being able to levitate in the air and run around that way is something that happens pretty often. As a variation on this, I remember a dream a few years back where I moved around in the air by making a pedaling motion, like I was riding an invisible bicycle. It kind of puts me in mind of the Vegetable Kingdom in Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, where the weak gravitational attraction let people walk in the air. I don't know if that's what my subconscious has in mind, though.

Have I already written about my running-in-the-air dreams on this journal? Oh, well. It's still relevant, what with my having had another one of them last night.

It doesn't look like there are any inns, or similar places to recover lost hit points, in Mario and Luigi. Maybe I'm just missing them, though.

Of Mice and Game Boys

Well, I did end up buying something today. It turned out that the Game Boy Advance SP was on sale at Shop-Rite, of all places. I got the last Flame one they had in stock. I also need to buy something tomorrow. My mouse has been really sluggish, and cleaning it out doesn't help. I've had a lot of problems with it in the past, but it's been REALLY bad tonight. I think I'm just going to go ahead and get an optical one. Hopefully that will help me with my mouse problems.

I wish I didn't have to turn the computer off to take plugs for hardware in and out. I also wish the Internet connection wouldn't get jostled whenever I moved the computer. I guess there's no help for those things, though.

I'm trying out some new icons, but I'm not sure how long I'll stick with them. I wish I could make better icons, and that I could use more than three of them at a time.

I'll probably write a review of that Future Soundtrack for America in the near future. It has some really good songs and some stuff I don't much care for, but that was pretty much what I expected.
