I still really like the Sixth Sense, even though I figured out the "surprise" early on. I thought it was well directed and well written, and well acted, above all. Toni Collette is wonderful. I still watch it and boo-hoo, because the emotional connections for the kid make an arc that rings true to me. Having parents who are "elsewhere" I'd like to think somehow that we could see each other over some dimensional divide, even for a minute or two. It's sentimentality done well, in my opinion.
Imagine my surprise when M. Night Shamalan couldn't make another decent movie to save his soul. The Village/ Feh.

Was he out on Highway 61 in the late 90s?
